About
My name is Derek Dearden, and I have been running businesses from my home since 1981. For most of that time, I’ve been developing software and designing computer systems.
For example, I designed the Avolites QM500 lighting desk, which had its debut on the 1984 Michael Jackson world tour, and was used on virtually every major rock concert tour for the next 12 years.
I also designed the computerised Toll system for the Tamar Bridge in Plymouth and various other installations.
What I’ve discovered is that the principles of business success are substantially universal, regardless of the particular industry you are in, and my commitment is to make the lessons that I’ve learned available to you.
